The HALO Trust started by focusing on clearing landmines. In Ukraine, they are providing risk education messaging on what unexploded ordnance and cluster bombs look like and their danger. This is especially important given that some types of unexploded cluster bombs can be easily confused as toys by curious children. In addition, the HALO Trust is providing medical assistance, shelter, and mapping of unexploded ordinance in order to clear it when conditions allow.
